VPS & containers
VPS hosting
Virtual servers with full root access, a public IPv4 address of their own and NVMe storage, managed in the same customer area as everything else. A VPS has its own kernel; a container shares it and costs less.

What your VPS can do
Root access on the server, plus a panel in the customer area.
Console in the browser
A graphical console for a VPS, a root shell for a container; it reconnects by itself.
Reinstall
A fresh system whenever you like, with the Linux and version you choose.
Root access
Reset the root password and add SSH keys from the customer area.
Apps in one click
Docker, Nextcloud, WordPress and more, each with a certificate and a password of its own; your own cloud-init too.
Your own ISO image
Boot an installer or a system of your own from an ISO, with the graphical console.
Firewall
Enforced outside your server: rules, templates, IP lists and firewalls shared by several servers.
Snapshots
Up to three, on demand or on a schedule, and back to an earlier state with one click.
Network
Reverse DNS for your address on request, and port 25 for mail on request.
Performance and traffic
CPU, memory and network for up to 30 days, and your traffic per term.
Monitoring
Checks of your own on ports, websites and databases, and a message when the server goes off.
Health check
What is wrong and how to fix it, in plain words.
Resize
More CPU, memory or disk when you need it, billed pro rata.
Sharing
Access to a single server for others, with exactly the rights they need.

Optional extras, such as more backup slots, are named in the configurator with their price. DDoS filtering: attacks on the application level (layer 7) are not filtered, and we cannot promise that a server stays reachable during an attack; the FAQ on the start page has the details.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a VPS cost?
A VPS from €8.99 a month for Lite with 4 GB of memory, a container from €2.99. Quarterly billing costs 5 % less, yearly 10 %, and there is no setup fee. In the configurator you can also put CPU, memory and storage together yourself.
VPS or container: what is the difference?
A VPS is fully virtualised with its own kernel and so more strongly separated from others; you can even boot your own ISO image. A container shares the kernel with the host, needs fewer resources and so costs less. Both have root, a public IPv4 address of their own, SSH, snapshots and the console in the customer area.
Which operating systems can I choose?
For a VPS: Ubuntu, Debian, Rocky Linux, AlmaLinux and Fedora. You can reinstall at any time in the customer area, and set up apps such as Docker, Nextcloud or WordPress in one click while doing so.
Can I run a mail server?
We open port 25 for e-mail and set reverse DNS for your address on request.
Are my servers protected against DDoS attacks?
Against the most common ones, yes: our public addresses run through the Noez network, which filters volumetric attacks at network and transport level (layers 3 and 4) around the clock and at no extra charge. Attacks at application level (layer 7) are not filtered. If an attack goes on, Noez may null-route the attacked address for a while; we therefore do not promise that a server stays reachable during an attack. The details are in our help centre under “DDoS protection”.
Where do my servers run?
In Nuremberg, Germany. Your data stays in the EU and the contract is under German law, so the GDPR applies in full. The data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is part of every contract.
How can I pay?
By credit or debit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Apple Pay, Google Pay, SEPA Direct Debit, PayPal, Klarna, Amazon Pay, Revolut Pay or Wero, through Stripe and in euros. For automatic renewals, a card, SEPA Direct Debit and PayPal can be saved; Klarna, Amazon Pay, Revolut Pay and Wero are for a single payment only. All prices are final: as a small business under § 19 UStG (German VAT law) we do not charge VAT. If you need an invoice paid by bank transfer for a business account, write to us and we will set it up.
Am I tied into a contract?
Only for the term you choose: monthly, quarterly or yearly. There is no setup fee in the shop. You cancel from your account and the server runs until the end of the term. After the first term, as a consumer you can cancel at any time with one month's notice; we refund the time already paid after that pro rata. If you move on, you download a game server in full with one click: files, databases and setup, even for 30 days after the end, until it is deleted.
